FLETCHER - Funeral service for Michael Brownfield, 52, of Polson, Mont., was held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at the Fletcher Assembly of God Church with Brother Scott Carper, officiating. Burial was at the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Mr. Brownfield passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at his home in Polson, Mont., after courageously battling leukemia for two years. He was born Feb. 6, 1965, at Fort Sill to Wesley and Audrey (Baucum) Brownfield. He grew up in Fletcher and graduated from Fletcher High School in 1983.
STERLING - Funeral service for Odell Carr will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donnie Miller of Family Life Church, Cyril, OK officiating. Burial will follow at the Sterling Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Odell Carr, age 70, Sterling, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at his residence in Sterling. He was born June 16, 1947, in Nashville, Ark., to J.W. and Hazel E. (Adams) Cox. Odell later married his wife Ester and they were married until her death in 2000.
CHICKASHA - Funeral service for Gwen C. Shadoan, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kim Hayes officiating. Gwendolyn Charlene (Davis) Shadoan was born on July 14, 1928, near Minco to George Andrew and Lillian L. (Stewart) Davis. She passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Brookdale Memory Care Center in Tulsa. Gwen attended Meridian High School and OCW College in Chickasha (now called USAO). She married Reaford Shadoan on May 29, 1950, in Borger, Texas, and they were married 47 years.
CHICKASHA - Funeral services for John Alexander, Jr., 90, of Chickasha, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. He was born on Sept. 5, 1927, in Chickasha, the only son of John Alexander, Sr. and Violet Ann (Taylor) Alexander. He passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, in Chickasha. With four sisters and being the only boy, he was spoiled and very well loved by his sisters and his parents. John grew up in Chickasha and attended Lincoln School. He was drafted Jan. 23, 1946, into the United States Army, just after the end of World War II.
