BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Waffle House is known to not close for anything - even if there’s only one worker behind the counter. Ethan Crispo told that was the case early Sunday morning at a location in Birmingham, Alabama.

Wanting to help their local community, Cyril FFA Chapter members created a new "Food for Families" program that will provide free ground pork for families with students that could benefit from additional food. CYRIL - Presented with the ques- tion "What can we do to make our chapter better?" Cyril FFA members brainstormed and formulated a plan to feed those in need.

Community members gathered together on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Elgin High School Cafeteria for a meal of calf fries and barbecue before the start of the 2019 Elgin FFA Auction. During the event, over $30,000 was raised by auctioning off 36 lots.
