Elgin Owls play Duncan next

Duncan comes to town Friday night to take on the Owls in a 7 p.m. matchup. They made the Class 5A playoffs last year, losing to Guthrie in the first round of the playoffs. The Demons opened the 2019 football season with a win over Putnam City West, 59-35, on Friday, Sept. 6.

ELGIN - Some nights are just your night and Seneca Coleman and his Elgin teammates proved that against Blanchard on Friday night. The No. 2 ranked Lions traveled to Elgin to take on the Owls on Friday, Sept. 6, and Elgin took the fight to the Lions early and earned a 35-20 victory.

ELGIN - A program can only be as strong as the leaders behind it. The Elgin FFA Officer team recently spent three days in Fair Oaks developing skills to become better leaders as well as plan and organize the 2019- 2020 year for the Elgin FFA Chapter.

ELGIN - Several city streets are undergoing construction as county crews recently got to work recycling old roads in preparation for new oil and chip.
