Elgin’s boys and girls track teams traveled to Ardmore to compete for State Championships in the Class 5A State track meet on Saturday, May 15 and came up with a number of boys and girls that medaled during the tournament.

Medalists for Elgin were:

CHIPPING AWAY: Elgin’s Kelly Langford hits a chip shot during the Class 4A State Tournament held in Cushing.

Elgin’s Lady Owls golfers competed at the Class 4A State Tournament at Buffalo Rock golf course in Cushing.

Hallye Bolan was the low scorer for Elgin shooting a score of 200 over the two day event.

WEATHERFORD - Elgin’s baseball team rolled into Regionals with a full head of steam after sweeping their way through the Bi-District tournament. Elgin drew the Marlow Outlaws in the first round on Thursday, March 6.

There was a sizable number of items this weekend at the semi-annual rummage sale hosted by the United Methodist Church of Elgin. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday United Methodist Women President Becky Bremenkamp and local UMW volunteers staffed the event.
