As the campaign trail heats up, candidates are making the push to have their voices heard before the general election takes place on Nov. 6, 2018. Last week two governor candidates, Libertarian Chris Powell and Republican Kevin Stitt, made a stop in Elgin, each to express their views on where they stand on key issues and how they can benefit Oklahoma if either of them should win the vote this fall. Democratic candidate Drew Edmondson visited the Elgin Middle School Civics & Citizenship class on Monday, Aug. 27.
