LAWTON - Comanche County Commissioners hosted the mayors of Fletcher and Sterling on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 22, to hear the rough outline of their 522 District plan.

Negotiated along with Mayor Larry Thoma, who was not able to be present at the meeting, the new plan by the municipalities of Elgin, Fletcher and Sterling will place ambulance service back in the locus of the three small cities for the first time in two years.

Mayor Dick Herrin of Fletcher presented the outline of the plan to the commissioners and spectators, fielding a few logistical questions during the brief presentation that didn’t last more than five minutes.
