Fort Sill officials are set to begin destroying unexploded munitions from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14 at the impact area on the north side of Fort Sill near Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area.

All hazards will remain within the Fort Sill installation boundaries, officials said in a prepared statement. Fort Sill officials ask the public to take safety precautions near the impact area, specifically near Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area. Boaters on the lake are asked to remain cognizant and aware of the detonations and proceed with caution.
