LAWTON - Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley has confirmed the arrest of a mother and father of a 3-year-old girl that died yesterday, Jan. 3, 2019. Stradley said emergency responders were called to a trailer located in Pinnacle Peak RV Park, located on Highway 58, yesterday afternoon.  According to the sheriff's office, emergency responders began CPR on a non-responsive 3-year-old girl, but the child remained non-responsive while being transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead.

"We're right in the middle of this investigation," said Stradley. "We're waiting on the autopsy."

Making a stop at the District Attorney's Office today, Sheriff Stradley said he expects that charges will be filed for criminal child neglect that resulted in a death. Stradley said both parents had been living in the trailer with seven kids and the Department of Human Services (DHS) has taken custody of the other children. The case is currently under investigation.
