Elgin 58 Weatherford 55

ELGIN - Elgin’s Lady Owls welcomed the Weatherford Lady Eagles to their field house.

Weatherford entered the contest with a 12-2 record. The Lady Owls still only had one loss on their record.

The battle between the two teams in the first half reflected their records for the season. Elgin went to the locker room holding on to a slim 30-29 lead.

Weatherford held the lead after three quarters 47- 46, but Elgin won the all important 4th quarter to pull out the win 58-55.

Izzy Cummins scored 16 points to lead the way for the Lady Owls. Also scoring in double figures were Kailiah Ballou with 14 points, Gabby Cummins and Paige Pendley with 13 points each.

The Lady Owls return to action when they travel to Anadarko to take on the Lady Warriors on Tuesday, Jan.29.
