COVID has reared its ugly head once again but this time it’s not what we are normally used to hearing.
Washington State’s head football coach Nick Rolovich was fired this week for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
The second-year coach applied for a religious exemption to the mandate but was ultimately denied.
Earlier this year Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced that all state employees would be mandated to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Besides Coach Rolovich four assistants were also relieved of their duty for not taking the vaccine.
In the National Hockey League San Jose Sharks Evander Kane was suspended for 21 games for providing the NHL and the Sharks with a fake COVID-19 vaccination card.
Kyrie Irving of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets has yet to be vaccinated and the team has made the decision not to let him join the team until he has at least one shot.
What a mess COVID-19 continues to spread.
As always, stay safe and healthy.
