An Oklahoma Highway Patrol spokesperson said Wednesday an Elgin police officer involved in a collision with another driver Fri- day, Nov. 13 on U.S. 277 in Elgin was not at fault for the accident. OHP Spokesperson Sarah Stewart said Wednesday the accident occurred when a 17-year-old driver made a left turn in front of an on-duty officer, causing him to strike her vehicle. Stewart said the driver of the other vehicle received a warning. Elgin police initially reported the driver of the other vehicle was airlifted from the Elgin football field to an undisclosed hospital. Troopers have not yet released a full report on the accident.
