Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing like the atmosphere of a major ballpark or sporting venue but I do like the smaller minor league sport venues. A few years ago, the family and I went to a major league game in Denver and then slipped down I-25 to Colorado Springs and caught an “A” league ballgame. We sat down the third base line and I actually spent part of the evening visiting with one of the coaches about various baseball things.
We also make as many trips as we can to see the OKC Dodgers play in Oklahoma City. Even though they are just a step away from the majors, most players seem relaxed and approachable. Unfortunately, I did read that Major League Baseball announced it has delayed the 2021 Triple-A season by at least four weeks to give players more time to receive the COVID-19 vaccination prior to joining their clubs.
I am also hoping and looking forward to the day where the pandemic is no longer a worry.
As always, stay safe and healthy.
