TARBONE MOUNTAIN - As the crow flies, Tarbone Mountain is probably just a few miles over yonder from Meers.

By car, traveling Highway 115, it's just about a five minute drive from the Meers Restaurant to Camp Y'Shua, located at the base of Tarbone Mountain.

On horseback, as the Kiowa Indians once traveled the land allotted to them, it's hard to say how long it might have taken to reach the limestone ridge northwest of the Wichita Mountains.
