Cameron University men’s and women’s basketball teams each had two home games postponed this week due to health and safety protocols related to the coronavirus.

University of Texas-Tyler was scheduled Thursday, Jan. 6, in the Aggie gym and Texas A&M Commerce was scheduled to play Saturday, Jan. 8. Since the games were postponed and not canceled, the games could be rescheduled.

Aggie men are 2-7 overall and 0-2 in Lone Star Conference play. They are currently scheduled to resume play on Thursday, Jan. 13, in a matchup with St. Mary’s in San Antonio, Texas. Continuing the Texas road trip, the Aggies will be in Austin on Saturday, Jan. 15, when they face St. Edwards. 

Home action is scheduled to resume on Thursday, Jan. 20, when Cameron hosts UT Permian Basin at 7:30 p.m.


Lady Aggies


The Lady Aggies are 7-5 for the season and 2-0 in conference play, with a two-game winning streak before the postponed games with UT Tyler and Texas A&M Commerce. They will also be on the road for two games in Texas starting Saturday, Jan. 15, in Austin to face St. Edwards. On Monday, Jan. 15, they will take on St. Mary’s in San Antonio. Home action should resume at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, when UT Permian Basin travels to Lawton. 


LSC standings


Lubbock Christian is still first in the men’s Lone Star Conference with a 14-0 record overall and 2-0 in conference. West Texas A&M are 11-7 overall in the women’s division and 4-0 in conference play. The Lady Aggies are one of four teams undefeated in LSC action to date.
