ELGIN - In 2015 a grant was provided to the Elgin Community Library to cover outreach programs, story times and summer reading programs. Having up to three years to use the grant, the money has all been put to good use and there's no more remaining.

"We still have ongoing programs and a larger building so we're coming up with new ways to help fund quality programs," said ECL librarian Leslie Durham.

After consulting with the Friends of the ECL, members of the group decided to get the library teens involved in part of the fundraising.
