STERLING - Funeral service for LaWanda (Mantooth) Williams, 60, of Lawton, was held Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the Sterling First Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Tidwell, officiating. Burial follow ed at Sterling Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, in Lawton. LaWanda Jo (Mantooth) Williams was born May 19, 1958, in Marlow to Ray and Mary (Muriel) Mantooth. She grew up in Sterling where she graduated from Sterling High School in 1976. LaWanda worked for Delta Faucet in Chickasha for a few years before going to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1984.After 20 years, she retired in 2004. LaWanda married Kim Williams on Feb. 11, 1996. The two have been married for 22 years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, whether it be coloring or making wreaths, as well as antiquing. She is survived by her husband, Kim Williams, of the home; mother, Mary Mantooth, of Sterling; two daughters: Kimberly Dunning and her husband Tommy, of Lawton; and MacKenzie Blackburn and her husband Denny, of Texas; two brothers: Dennis Mantooth and his wife, Janie, of Chickasha and Chuck Mantooth and his wife Debbie, of Sterling; and two grandchildren: Chance and Harlee Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Mantooth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
