Elgin 2, Blanchard 15

Elgin’s Lady Owls traveled to Blanchard on Thursday, Sept. 2 to take on the Lady Lions. Blanchard scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take an early lead. Elgin finally got two runs in the top of the third inning to make it a 6-2 game. The Lady Lions added six more runs in the third inning and three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to arrange the run rule win, 15-2. Braisley Wilson collected two hits for Elgin while Mikayla Arnold, Kelsey Jones and Erin MacDonald each had one hit for Elgin.

Elgin 10, Anadarko 4

Anadarko scored two runs in the top of the first inning but the Lady Owls responded with three runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Elgin added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning, two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and one more run in the bottom of the sixth inning to secure a 10-4 win. Jordan Johnson, Jaemie Johns and Kelsey Jones all collected two hits for Elgin. Jordan also went all seven innings on the mound only allowing three hits while striking out five batters from Anadarko.

Elgin 0, Blanchard 11

Blanchard scored two runs in the top of the first inning and that was all the runs they needed even though they picked up nine more runs to win in run rule fashion, 11-0. Elgin picked up three hits on the day with Hannah Endicott, Jaemie Johns and Cora Holmgrem all reaching base on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
