RUSH SPRINGS - Long-lashed, doe-eyed, and fuzzy bodied, the alpaca, a member of the camelid family, is not only an adorable creature to behold, it is also prized for its’ plush, toasty warm fleece.

At La Sona Dora, a small alpaca hobby farm in Rush Springs, owner Linda Briscoe manages and cares for 17 of the charming beasts, ranging in a variety of colors, for the sole purpose of harvesting their quality fiber to use and sell.

Spanish for “The Female Dreamer,” La Sona Dora originally began with a simple suggestion, turned quickly into a dream, and was eventually brought into reality.
