ELGIN - James Edward Snow Jr. was born Dec. 7, 1954, in LeRachelle, France to CSM James (Eddie) Edward Snow Sr. and Mary Beth Snow.

Jimmy passed away on Nov. 17 at home surrounded by his family.

He was raised in Elgin by both parents and has two brothers. He married Nancy Ann Skinner on Feb. 29, 1976, in Fletcher, and they have resided in Elgin since.

Together they have two children. Jimmy was 1/81st Army Battalion located in Germany from 1974-1980. His MOS was Pershing Missiles. After two tours he went to work for the Department of Defense DRMO at Fort Sill.

He retired in October 2013 after 35 years. Jimmy and his dad Eddie ran Snow’s Upholstery Shop for many years.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Snow of the home and his dog Rosco; son, Tre’ Snow of Elgin; daughter, Amber Davis and husband Nicholas of Tahlequah; four grandchildren: Lauren Davis of Stillwate; Austin Davis of Okmulgee; and twin grandsons, Todd and Cody Davis of Tahlequah; two brothers: Gerald Harrison Snow and wife Jo Snow of Anchorage, Alaska; Jeffry Ray Snow and wife Mendy Lois Snow of Elgin; two nieces: Alicia Doriot and family of Kansas, Heather Snow of Elgin; and one nephew, Houston (young blood) Snow of Irving, Texas.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his Dad, Mom, paternal and maternal grandparents, and one grandson. He leaves behind many wonderful friends, including Rickey Bray, James (Gup) Leroy Frank and family, the K street outlaws, and a special angel on earth, Debbie. Jimmy donated his body to United Tissue Network for research studies. Services pending.

In lieu of flowers Jim’s wishes were for donations to go Promise Care Hospice of Lawton.
