MEDICINE PARK - It won’t be long now before the air is filled with the resonant twangs of banjos, shrill sirens of fiddles and strumming guitars as music lovers gather together for the 8th Annual Parkstomp Bluegrass Festival in Medicine Park.

Taking center stage on March 16 and 17, bands coming from as far as Minnesota, as close as Medicine Park itself and everywhere in between, will be providing free foot tapping entertainment for the weekend crowd.

Former mayor, turned Event Coordinator for Medicine Park’s Economic Authority, Dwight Cope, said he got the idea after coming across several bands at other festivals he attended and thought it would be a great event during spring break in Medicine Park.

Family friendly and pet friendly, Dwight said it’s an all-around fun event that shouldn’t be missed.
