Multiple law enforcement agencies on the search

LAWTON - Officials are continuing to search for John Henry Evans, an inmate that escaped from the Comanche County Detention Center early this morning.

According to Ashleigh Hensch, the Comanche County Emergency Management Public Information Officer, Evans escaped around 1 a.m. this morning while taking out garbage to the trashcan.

He is a white male, 6' 2", 165 lbs. with black hair brown eyes, medium build. Right now, multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for him, including: the Lawton Police Department, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals.

If anyone has any information on John Henry Evans, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 580-355-INFO (4636).

He was being held for Stephens, Caddo, and Grady County for "contributing to delinquency of minor", "receive, possess, conceal stolen vehicle" and "resisting executive officer".
