I’ve never been one to dwell on all the unforeseen human tragedies that could potentially occur on a dayto-day basis.
Call me an optimist if you will, or maybe naive would be a better term, but the fact is that I simply try to hope for the best in every scenario. Truth be told, I tend to tune out the very real fact that tragedies do happen and when they do, it’s always unexpected.
A bit clueless, I’ve always assumed that if someone I knew, or someone I stumbled across, were in an immediate medical crisis, surely there would be another person around that would know just exactly what to do to help. My whole life I’ve had the concept that someone, anyone - other than me - would be close by, having the knowledge and skills to render enough aid to save a life if needed.
