LAWTON - Funeral service for CW2 (Retired) Gordan A. Gridley will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Medicine Park with Rev. Wayne Sanmann, Pastor officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
CW2 (Retired) Gordan A. Gridley, 78, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, in Lawton. He was born May 10, 1940, in Corning, N.Y. to Albert Ezra and Florance Hattie (Mattison) Gridley.
Gordan came to Fort Sill while he was in the Army. He later married Mary Michelle Tuggle on Dec. 1, 1989, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Gordan loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a man who loved a good cup of coffee and old movies, especially old westerns. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Gordan was instrumental in building the current First Baptist Church of Medicine Park after the first building was destroyed by a tornado.
He is survived by his wife Michelle of the home; three sons, Michael, Albert and Miles Gridley all of Lawton; three grandsons, Jacob Albert Gridley, Garrett Ryan Gridley and Patrick Gordan Gridley, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Rose Nellie Graves.
