A Fletcher man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a domestic violence incident.
Fletcher police were called to a residence in the 200 block of West Hornaday Avenue around 5:38 p.m. Wednesday after police say the victim ran to a neighbor’s house for help. Fletcher Police Chief Jason DeLonais said the victim told police they were subjected to unwanted strangulation during an intimate encounter. DeLonais said officers responding to the location observed visible signs of strangulation on the victim’s neck.
During a subsequent investigation, Doyle DeWayne Latimer was arrested for domestic violence by strangulation. Latimer was booked into the Comanche County Detention Center Wednesday evening.
DeLonais said the victim was treated by the Fletcher Fire Department at the scene.
