Teen Café rummage sale this weekend
The teens and adults will tell us hi and see what we are up to. We are even privy to some of the happenings around the library. We know there is great excitement about the Teen Café rummage sale on Sept 13-14.

It’s been a while since my last column. As many of you know the “original” Webster passed away peacefully one night. My pal and I heard so many good things about the library, and how everyone, young and old, liked to visit the tortoises, so we decided to travel to Elgin to see how we could help.

We met with Ms. Leslie who explained what our duties would be as entertainment librarians. We were a little bashful to start with, but feel we are getting the hang of things now. We decided that since Webster and Dewey were such great library icons that we wanted to use those names also.

Everyone has been so nice to us and admiring our new home. The Wigglers like to watch us eat or sun ourselves with the heat lamp. The teens and adults will tell us hi and see what we are up to. Dewey and I think it is a good thing that the teens are raising money to go to the Teen Book Con in Nov. They will get to meet a variety of teen authors, have break-out sessions to actually hear from the authors, and purchase autographed books.

The Friends of the Library are having a used book sale on Sept 20-21. The book sale and the rummage sale will be held at Connection Church across the street from Williams Grocery.

I will continue with the column to share library news, while Dewey will be writing book reviews. We hope you enjoy our efforts to promote such a great little library!

Your pal, Webster
