Elgin’s baseball team traveled to Lawton to compete in the 45th Annual Bo Bowman baseball tournament and walked way with third place. Elgin opened the tournament on Thursday morning and defeated Lawton High 9-0.

Wyatt Pyle had two hits and six RBIs to lead the Owls. Corbin Davidson pitched all five innings and picked up the win in the mound. Elgin faced Altus in the next game and once again put up nine runs to win the game 9-2 over Altus.  Elgin plated seven runs in the second inning to blow the game wide open. Corbin Davidson had two hits for the Owls and Jake Thomas picked up the win on the mound.

On Friday, Elgin ran into red-hot Lawton Eisenhower and allowed five runs in both the second and third inning to allow the Eagles to take a 11-3 win. Braeden Moreland had two hits and two RBIs for Elgin in the loss. Elgin took on Ada for third place on Saturday and didn’t waste any time scoring three runs in the top of the first inning to take an early 3-0 lead. Ada clawed their way back into the lead by scoring two runs in the fourth inning and three more runs in the fifth inning to take a 5-3 lead.

Elgin was not done, as the offense got cranked up and added five runs in sixth and seventh inning to take home the third place trophy. Nacona Tahdooanippah had three RBIs and Corbin David- son picked up three hits in the win. Nocona went five and two-third innings to get the win on the mound.
