Girls' Basketball Elgin 77 Clinton JV 18

CLINTON - Elgin’s Lady Owls traveled to Clinton on Thursday, Jan 10, and made quick work of Clinton's JV winning, 77-18.

At half, the Lady Owls were up 35-5 and won the game going away.

Paige Pendley scored 27 points and Kailah Ballou added 17 points.

Elgin 81 Noble 40

CLINTON - Elgin’s Lady Owls faced the Noble Lady Bears on Friday, Jan. 11, with a trip to the Championship on the line.

The Lady Owls started hot and had this game under control after the 1st quarter.

Elgin led 26-9 after the 1st quarter and took a 39-14 lead into the locker room. Elgin continued to pull away in the second half and won the game 81-40.

Paige Pendley scored 25 points, Izzy Cummins added 24 points and Kailah Ballou contributed 18 points.

Elgin 62 Elk City 32

CLINTON - Elgin’s Lady Owls battled Elk City in the finals of the Hub City Classic on Saturday, Jan. 12, in Clinton.

The Lady Owl's defense took over the game in the 2nd quarter and led the way for the Owls to capture the Championship, 62-32.

Paige Pendley scored 16 points, Izzy Cummins added 15, Kailah Ballou netted 13 points and Gabby Cummins scored 10 points.

Boys Basketball Elgin 82 Classen SAS 37

CLINTON - Elgin's boys’ opened against Classen SAS during Round One of the Hub City Classic on Thursday, Jan. 10.

The Owls led at halftime, 29-15, but came out with a huge 3rd quarter to put Classen away.

Holden Bartosovsky scored 22 points, Connor Slater added 16 points and Yannik Gruenwald scored 13 points in the victory.

Elgin 38 Elk City 30

CLINTON - Elgin's boys’ semifinal match-up on Friday, Jan.11, was against Elk City and the game was a defensive battle from start to finish.

Elgin led 23-9 at halftime but could not ever put any distance between themselves and the Elks.

Elgin did just enough and walked away with a 38-30 victory and a trip to the Championship finals.

Yannik Gruenwald scored 14 points and Holden Bartosovsky added 11 points in the victory.

Elgin 78 Clinton 47

CLINTON - Elgin boys captured their portion of the Hub City Classic with a 78-47 victory over the host, Clinton Red Tornadoes.

Holden Bartosovsky led the way for the Owls, scoring 35 points in Elgin's victory.
