Edward Emery Paul (Ed) Konecny, 65, passed away suddenly on Sept. 3, 2020. He was born May 12,
1955, in Butte, Montana, to Anthony and Roseina Konecny, the youngest of four children. He attended local schools, graduating from Butte High School in 1973. After a couple years of trying his hand at college and various jobs, he joined the military. He served our country in the U.S. Army. It was during that time he met and married Deborah Hart in 1979. For 39 years they lived overseas (in Japan and Germany), and in several U.S. states, finally settling in Oklahoma.
Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debbie; and his parents. He is survived by their three children, daughter, Whitney Konecny, and sons Jordan and Kyle Konecny, all of Cyril. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Catherine) Konecny, of St George, Utah; his sisters, Mary Helen (Ken) Petersen, of Belgrade, Montana, and Rosena Konecny (Marshall Cook) of St George, Utah; two nieces and nephews; and a grand-niece and grand-nephew.
Ed was a gentle, loving man. His family was the most important thing in his life. He was much too young to leave this world and his family. He often said, “Do not shed tears formewhenI’mgone–I had a good life.” Ed will be missed by all who knew and loved him. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”
Services have been held and interment of ashes will be at a later date. Donations of remembrance can be made to the Ed Konecny memorial Go-FundMe account (go-fundme.com) to help his children with his final expenses.
