OKLAHOMA CITY – Education, criminal justice reform and medical marijuana regulation will be the focus of the Oklahoma Legislature during the next legislative session, two area representatives said this week.

With the opening of the 57th Oklahoma Legislature on Feb. 4, state Representatives Trey Caldwell, R-Lawton and Toni Hasenbeck, R-Elgin, said lawmakers will spend a great deal of time focused on ways to increase education funding.

“We need more overfunding,” Caldwell said. “We still have a long way to go.”
