Measured at only 45 miles per hour, the winds in this morning's storm caused unbelievable destruction at Lake Lawtonka.

LAKE LAWTONKA - Wind gusts ripped through a campground at Lake Lawtonka this morning, tipping over and destroying multiple parked campers. According to Comanche County Emergency Management Public Information Officer, Ashleigh Hensch, the highest wind gusts were measured at 45 miles per hour by the Mesonet site at Medicine Park at 6:50 a.m. 
Lawton Police Department counted 13 flipped or turned over campers, some completely destroyed, while many others sustained broken windows and other damages from the wind and flying debris. One individual was transported to Comanche County Memorial with minor injuries. The amount of damages in total are unknown at this time.
