FLETCHER - Daren Leon Shadoan, 84, of Fletcher, passed away on June 12 in Cement. Graveside burial service was held Saturday, June 16, at Laverty Cemetery: Rural Route Cement. Arrangements were by Fletcher Funeral Home. Mr. Shadoan was born in the Lyon Community near Lake Burtschi to Boyd Estes and Rose Ethyl Shadoan on the Sept. 8, 1933. He and his older brother Donald grew up spreading their love for music as the “Sons of Rhythm” using their talent to help others get by during the Great Depression. He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1951. He married Mary Ann Gooch on the Nov. 25, 1953, in Chickasha. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, Daren went to school on a G.I. bill for electronics repair and worked for many years as an electronics technician. He was always playing music and ended up becoming the patriarch of a very musical family. Daren is preceded in death by his parents: Boyd Estes and Rose Ethyl Shadoan and brother, Donald Lee Shadoan. Daren is survived by his wife Mary Ann Shadoan; son, Randal Shadoan and his wife Lee Shadoan; son, Douglas Shadoan; sister, Carolyn Shrader and her husband Henry; niece, Donna Shadoan; and grandsons, Trent, Trace, Tyler, Taryn and Dylan Shadoan.
