ELGIN - Every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the members of the BoHo Crochet Group gather around a table inside the Elgin Community Library to get their 'stitch' on. Skeins of yarn spread across the table, needles come out, seats get settled into and the banter begins as everyone relaxes into their morning of crafting.

The close 'knit' group began about four years ago with the help of Leslie Durham, local librarian, and "craft master," Laura Barrett of Lawton. The group has since expanded to about 13 regular members and includes children.

Although officially entitled the Book 'n Hookers, the group has nicknamed themselves the "Bo- Ho's" for short, and is open to anyone and everyone of all genders and ages interested in learning or perfecting their skills in crochet, knitting, looming and more.
