Governor Stitt replaces head of DHS; CEO of OKC-based company steps in

OKLAHOMA CITY – Republican Governor Kevin Stitt announced Tuesday that he’d replaced Department of Human Services Director Ed Lake with Justin Brown, the CEO of Oklahoma City-based Villagio Senior Living.

Lake had led DHS since 2012. He helped right the agency after it was forced to settle a class-action lawsuit over the treatment of abused and neglected children. That settlement, known as the Pinnacle Plan, included several changes and reforms in DHS’ child welfare system.
