ELGIN - This year’s Breakfast with Santa fundraiser netted the FFA Mother’s Club over $1500. The event was held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 8 and 10 a.m. at Elgin’s Tiny Mae’s Bar and Grill.

According to Agricultural Instructor Cameron Dale, who was present at the breakfast, the FFA club also raises funds by selling roasted corn at the rodeo. The funds go to scholarships and help members travel to the state capitol to meet with leaders.

The Breakfast with Santa was a hit with children and parents alike. FFA members were generous hosts, taking away dirty dishes and refilling drinks for guests.

After the meal, the children lined up to meet Santa. He took the time to pose with each child present and gave them a candy cane. The children loved his stories and his jovial spirit.
