Winter has kept Southwest Oklahoma in its cool, icy grip for longer than most of us are used to or even want. But, there is a beauty in those frozen branches and icy landscapes. Mother Nature has quite the brush stroke when painting with freezing temperatures. These photos were taken on Thursday, Feb. 28, near Agawam on U.S. Highway 81 and on State Highway 17 east of Sterling. It was an amazing, icy wonderland.
